How to Set Up Two-Factor Authentication Using an Authenticator App
This section explains the setup process using Google Authenticator, but the same steps apply to other authenticator apps such as Microsoft Authenticator and Authy.
1. Install the Google Authenticator app
Install the Google Authenticator app on your smartphone using the links below.
- App Store (for iOS): Google Authenticator
- Google Play (for Android): Google Authenticator
2. Launch the app and tap "Get Started" or "Try it out"
Launch the installed Google Authenticator app and tap the "Get Started" button.
3. Tap "Scan a QR code"
On the next screen, tap "Scan a QR code".
4. Scan the QR code
Your camera will launch. Scan the QR code displayed on the eCloud login screen. You may also scan the QR code shown in the image below.
5. The authentication factor is registered
The enechain authentication factor will be registered in the Google Authenticator app.
(From this point on, please enter the 6-digit one-time code displayed in the enechain section of the Google Authenticator app when logging in.)
6. Welcome to eCloud!
